We are awards ceremony production specialists. We bring together sound, lighting, video, staging, venue dressings and content to create visual, theatrical, memorable awards ceremonies.

Our in-house audio visual, content, staging, design and project management departments work under the direction of one of our experienced awards ceremony Production Managers. Becuase we provide most of the awards ceremony production services that you will need in-house we are able to provide a competitively priced, joined-up way of achieving your aims. 

1. Design

We listen and then take your brand, your venue, your requirements and your objectives and turn them into 3D stage and lighting designs that are practical, within budget and stunning. 

2. Planning

We will provide you with a Project Manager who will be your main point of contact and will manage the whole process from taking your initial brief through to installation, operation on site and post production. We will liaise with you, your venue, your presenters and your presenters to ensure that every detail is meticulously planned. 

3. Content Creation

In the lead up to your awards ceremony we will create or test your videos and slides, support you with the script and running order, edit your stage walk up stings and produce a final "production schedule". 

4. Stage Set Build / Hire

We will take the designs and our staging team will construct any bespoke elements that form part of your stage set and combine these with stock items from our stage hire department.

5. Audio Visual Hire

We take the design and turn it into an equipment, transport and staff specification. Our operations team then prepare the equipment before it is dispatched and set up on site. This enables us to provide seamless audio visual and staging for the awards from our own in-house stock of audio visual equipment. 

6. ON-site technical support

On site, our team of exceptionally helpful audio visual technicians will set up all of the equipment, staging, branding and infrastructure as per the design and under the direction of the Project Manager. Everything will be carefully tested to ensure that every sound, lighting and video cue runs smoothly during the event.

Case Study: Kimal Conference & Awards Ceremony Liverpool

Overview

Stagetex won a competitive tender process to work with Kimal’s in-house event management team to create their Conference, Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony. The Conference took place over 2 days at Hilton Hotel Liverpool. On the final evening, delegates returned to find The Grace Suite at Hilton Liverpool transformed into a Bollywood themed gala dinner and awards ceremony.

Staging Design

To remain within budget, the conference stage set was constructed exclusively from stock flats that were lit in Kimal brand colours. Foamex panels were added that incorporated the event logos and Kimal branding. This design allowed a fast turnaround for the gala dinner through simple lighting changes and the addition of some themed fabric “pillars” along with appropriate on-stage graphics befitting the Bollywood theme.

Audio Visual

As a result of our intimate knowledge of Hilton Liverpool, we recommended 5000 lumen Panasonic projector and specialist short throw lens that reduced space taken up behind the backdrop enabling the client to save money by booking  a smaller portion of the room. A combination of pre-recorded video and presentation slides were displayed on screen and controlled from three laptops and presentation switcher allowing seamless transitions between presentations.

A discrete 4-speaker PA system was supplied in the main space that resulted in a clear, even sound coverage for speech, music playback and live performances with inputs coming from Sennheiser table top, lectern, lapel and handheld microphones.

The conference and gala dinner lighting design included colour changing LED battens to wash the stage set in colour, small LED moving heads to create textured patterns on the backdrop and a small stage lighting kit to light the faces of presenters and performers on stage. Finally high power LED uplighters were installed around the walls to create a soft glow of colour during both the conference and gala dinner.

All of the audio visual equipment was supplied from our own hire stock meaning that we were fully in control of quality whilst remaining within a realistic budget.

Case Study: Liverpool Food & Drink Awards

Stagetex has supported a Liverpool-based events agency to create the Liverpool Food and Drink Awards for the last 4 years.

In July 2012, the event was held at Camp & Furnace Liverpool where Stagetex won the tender to produce all staging, lighting and audio visual elements of the awards ceremony. This was one of the first major corporate event held at Camp & Furnace and we worked closely with the venue to coordinate the logistics.

Stagetex worked with the event manager’s video production and graphic design company to collate and test all of the on-screen content prior to the awards ceremony ensuring that everything ran perfectly on the night. Stagetex created the audio stings for the awards presentations in-house.

Awards Ceremony Stage Set

Utilising elements from our stage hire stock, we created a cost-effective but impactful backdrop for the stage using stock flats and creative lighting. The final set design incorporated 3D elements, a single screen and coloured uplighters which allowed it to change colour during the evening.

Cath Kidston Theme

The theme for the evening was “Kath Kidston” and included picnic-style tales and subtle venue lighting. Stagetex supported our event management client suggesting the incorporation of foliage into the design which was highlighted using tungsten lighting against the vibrant pink LED wash given to the stage set and walls.

Branding & Gobo Projection

Stagetex branded the entrance area using moving gobo projection on the wall facing the main entrance as well as coloured LED uplighting that created a soft glow in the reception area.

Audio Visual Equipment

All of the audio visual equipment required for the event was supplied from Stagetex’s own hire stock which is held just 20 minutes from Liverpool City Centre. The equipment supplied for this awards ceremony included projectors, screens, laptops and switchers, stage lighting, venue lighting, staging, lecterns and a PA system suitable for both the speeches and the band.
